DIEKAMP’S PEACHTREE FARMS A Sophisticated New Community with a Proud American Heritage Since 1833, the Diekamp Farm has been a proud tradition for five generations of the Diekamp family. Founded by Steffen Henry Diekamp upon his arrival in the United States from Kappein, Germany, the 112 acre farm was officially granted to him by the Trustees of the Town of St. Charles on March 28, 1833 for “value received.’ Four generations later, the family ‘s tradition of farming is now carried on by fifth generation Elmer Diekamp. A brick home built by the family in 1862 remains standing on the farm. Thirty-five acres of this St. Charles landmark now serve as the picturesque setting for The Jones Company’s new community Diekamp’s Peachtree Farms.
